Make Money Online With Revenue Sharing Sites
Online revenue sharing is still a relatively new concept despite having been around for the last few years. It is perhaps only in the last 18 months that it has begun to take off and a number of sites have started to treat their members more fairly by offering them a share of the revenue they generate as a direct result of contributing to a website, blog or forum.
Revenue Sharing is great news for anyone who enjoys writing, commenting or blogging because it means that you actually get paid for your contributions. You don’t have to be a gifted writer or have a perfect grasp of spelling or grammar, although these elements clearly help. Instead all you need is the ability to write about anything and everything that you are passionate about. So if you are a stay at home parent wanting to earn a little extra money from home you can easily fit your working hours around your family commitments. Likewise if you are a professional writer or have the ability to churn out constant content then you can seriously make money online with revenue sharing.
The other great thing about revenue sharing sites is that very few ask for completely fresh content, which means that you can use articles or blogs that you have previously written and post them on all the suitable sites. At present I have written over 60 high quality articles and posted these on around 15 revenue sharing sites, which generate a healthy monthly income. Some articles generate only a small amount every month but other generate a respectable sum I‘ve even had regular sums of up to £8 per week for just one article. It is important to stress that you won’t be able to retire on your revenue sharing income and any scheme promising you instant money is usually a scam. However revenue sharing sites really can increase your personal income stream for relatively little effort, although some hardwork is required at the start.
What Is Involved In Preparing To Use Revenue Sharing Sites
1. Firstly you need to create a Google Adsense Account. Adsense is Google's advertising system that allows users to earn money from displaying adverts on web pages. You do not have to be a website owner or blog owner or have any technical experience to create an account, it really is straight forward. Google have an excellent overview which explains more about this here.
2. Create some original content. I set myself the target of writing about 50 articles on subjects that I’m passionate about; you can view an example of some here:
I actually ended up writing 60 articles.
This took me about 4 weeks of writing alongside my full time job. But instead you could easily aim to write 2 articles a week and after 30 weeks would have your 60 articles.
3. I then trawled the internet and found a huge collection of revenue sharing sites and posted these 60 articles on 15 of them and am now reaping the benefits of these earnings. What is especially great about revenue sharing sites is that all of them allow you to insert either your Ad sense, EBay or Amazon ID, hence why you need to set these accounts up if you don't already have them. This is a great bonus because you can pool your earnings into one account rather than having 15 separate accounts each independently generating income. It also means that you can quickly reach the minimum amount required to receive your payment from these companies and it is far more secure than 15 individual sites having your bank account details.
Revenue Sharing Provides Flexibility
Revenue Sharing sites also provide great flexibility because you can play to your strengths. If you are good at reading and commenting then you could join a revenue sharing forum and post short comments and generate income this way. Alternatively you can write articles and join a revenue sharing article site, the choice is yours, although forum posting needs constant work unlike article writing which after the initial hard work of creating articles, requires little additional effort.
Which Topics Should I Write On?
This is always difficult to decide but my advice is you visit Word Tracker and find out which words people are searching on frequently on the internet. This is a free tool, just visit the site here and type in a word or combination of words. Word Tracker will then tell you how many searches there have been each day for that word and provide a list of alternative words. All you then have to do is generate content around that word and it’s likely that your articles will start receive some good visitor traffic when you start posting them.
Be Persistent
Some people write five or six articles and post them on one revenue sharing site and then give up when they receive little return on their investment. If you are looking for an easy life like that then revenue sharing isn’t for you. My experience is that you need to be persistent and target around 50 good quality articles of around 400 words or more and post these on al least 10 revenue sharing sites, although the more the better. Within a few months you should start to see some money being generated and within 6 - 12 months this should hopefully increase significantly. This is because search engines, which sort through internet content, place a higher value on content that has been in existence for 3 months+.
Which Revenue Sharing Sites Should I Choose?
Having spent lots of time researching revenue sharing sites I want to share my personal list of sites with you. I’ve tried to break these down into types such as articles, forums and music/multimedia sites to help. I’ve also reviewed a few of the best in more detail in the Paid To Review section of this site.
